In the Stars February 25-March 3, 2024 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week
The Sun is now in Pisces, along with Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune. Pisces symbolizes compassion and concern for the collective, as well as creativity, inspiration, and imagination.
A Full Moon occurred on Saturday, February 24th. This Full Moon in Virgo calls for attention to detail, organization, and getting your life in order.
The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is tightening. This week these planets are 8-9 degrees apart, moving toward an exact conjunction April 17-21. This aspect, occurring once every 13 years, is powerfully innovative and expansive. If you are thinking about a project, now would be a great time to start. Be expansive in your imagination about what is possible, as this spring holds great energy for invention and discovery.

Sunday, February 25, is a day to put order in your life. Although weekends generally invite relaxation and outings, this is a day for working on tasks and organization that need to be done. The Moon’s trine to Uranus may change your schedule or intentions and introduce something unexpected in the day. In the evening the Moon opposes Neptune which may cloud vision, or expand and lift it. The Moon-Neptune opposition carries us into a restful sleep and imaginative dream space.
We aim for harmony on Monday, February 26, as the Moon enters Libra. A Moon-Pluto trine in air signs makes it a strong day for communication and connection. A Mars-Jupiter square gives determination and strength. A lot can be accomplished, especially with human relations.
On Tuesday, February 27, Sun and Saturn conjunct exactly, and are near to Mercury. This is a day to tend to responsibilities, and to be discerning in speech. It would also be a good day to ground imaginative ideas into a workable plan. The Libra Moon opposes Chiron, and both conjunct the nodal axis. This could bring you into contact with people from your past, as well as draw you toward new relationships. You may feel especially sensitive and tender.
The Libra Moon is void of course all day Wednesday, February 28, until it moves into Scorpio at 7:08 p.m. PST. During this long void Moon period it is best to tend to routine chores or matters not requiring decisions. Meetings often don’t come together or result in anything substantial, so schedule them for another day, if possible. Mercury and Sun are exactly conjunct in Pisces, sharpening the focus on imaginative communication. This would be a good day to work on a creative writing project.
Thursday, the last day of February, holds a Scorpio Moon that stirs deep feelings. The Moon activates numerous planets, the first being a square to Venus and Mars, generating relational concerns. Then the Moon tries Mercury, Saturn, and the Sun, amplifying sensitive, mystical, creative energy. In addition, the Moon opposes Jupiter, creating expansive opportunities.
Friday, the first day of March is an inspiring, hopeful day. This is the day associated with Venus, so in general Fridays are benefic days filled with love and beauty. This Friday is buoyed by an expansive Sun-Jupiter sextile in signs Pisces and Taurus respectively, symbolizing imagination and pleasure. A Venus-Chiron sextile supports harmonious relationships. On the other hand, there is some edgy energy corresponding to a Moon-Venus square, and a Moon-Uranus opposition may take plans off course. Yet, a Moon-Neptune trine late in the day brings a sense of satisfaction and well-being and carries us off to a peaceful night’s sleep.
The Moon enters Sagittarius early Saturday morning, putting a bounce in our step. The Moon sextiles Pluto, energizing us for the day’s activities. However, a Moon-Saturn square in the early afternoon brings restraint, and may dampen optimism, or redirect us to our responsibilities. Still, the evening invites socializing, as Sagittarius is expansive, and loves to party.
Sunday’s planetary feature is a Venus-Uranus square that invites us to break out in new directions. The Sag Moon squares the Pisces Sun, scattering energy, and inviting us to follow dreams and possibilities. This would be a good day to imagine and plan a trip to a new place to explore.
Monday, March 4, is off to a slow start with the Moon squaring dreamy Neptune, marking the beginning of a void Moon period from 7:40 a.m.-1:40 p.m. PST. During this time, allow yourself to ease into the week attending to routine tasks. At 1:40 p.m. PST the Moon moves into industrious Capricorn, and then it is time to engage with the work of the week ahead.

Moon Void of Course:
This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
