In the Stars April 10-17, 2022...shining light on the astrology of the week
The Sun is in Aries, a cardinal, action-oriented fire sign. Aries energy is quick, initiating, and independent. Aries is like a newly ignited fire burning brightly. The month of Aries invites initiations and new beginnings, courage, and leadership. Conflict can also be heightened with the Sun in Aries. We may see even stronger attacks on the Ukraine.
There is a Full Moon in Aries perfected on Saturday, April 16th that is square to Pluto. This is a particularly powerful and volatile Full Moon. On April 30th there is a Solar Eclipse that is conjunct with Uranus, another explosive alignment.
Jupiter is moving to perfect in a conjunction with Neptune on April 12th. This is a potentially peaceful, inspiring combination that will influence the month of April. This Jupiter-Neptune conjunction invites us to let our imagination soar and dream new possibilities.

Sunday is exuberant and playful in the light of the Leo Moon. The Mercury-Pluto square invites us to dive deeply into our thoughts. A Moon-Uranus square may take us off track, and may result in an unexpected diversion.
On Monday Saturn exactly squares the nodal axis, signaling a moment of truth both individually and collectively. There may be major events that emerge. This is a volatile time, being played out with the war between Russia and the Ukraine. Keep your life simple. On the other hand, the playful Leo Moon trines the courageous Aries Sun, giving zest and vigor for courageous new beginnings.
Tuesday, April 12, is a golden day, as Jupiter and Neptune perfect in a glorious conjunction. The positive potential with this alignment is vision, imagination, and creativity. This is a day to dream big dreams, as well as to express compassion, forgiveness, and grace. The Virgo Moon signals a time to get your life in good order. The Moon opposes both Mars and Venus, calling us to balance work, love, goals, and passion. The Sun conjuncts asteroid Pallas Athena that symbolizes art and strategy, and the strength of women. The confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is a prime example of this Sun-Pallas Athena conjunction.
Wednesday the Virgo Moon continues to call us to clean up and become more organized, though the Moon’s conjunction with Uranus may take us off schedule and bring some diversions.
Thursday’s Virgo Moon opposes the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, fueling dreams and expectations of good fortune. The Moon forms a grand trine with Pluto and the North Node, fueling power for hard work, and drawing us to strong connections. Mars ingresses into Pisces, making us more reticent to take charge for the next few weeks. Mars will also give more compassion and consideration.
A haze of mental fog may hang over Friday, which may be a sensitive day due to a Moon-Chiron opposition. Take it easy. This would be a good day to wander through an art gallery or garden and soak in beauty,
A Full Moon is the crowning cosmic event of Saturday, April 16. The day is highly charged with many planetary alignments. The Moon makes a volatile square to Pluto, and adds intensity as it conjoins Eris. The Moon trines Saturn, and later trines Mars. The steam and angst of the day can be employed for productivity. Lean in and make it get a lot accomplished.
Sunday is an eventful day full of heavenly alignments. The Moon in deep feeling Scorpio aspects Mercury, Uranus, and Venus, creating an emotional stir, and a lot passion. Mercury conjuncts Uranus, an alignment that is sextile to Venus, enabling brilliant, passionate ideas to pour forth.
Monday is yet another day of strong alignments. The Sun conjuncts Eris and squares Pluto which are high conflict alignments. The Moon conjuncts the South Node and squares Saturn, increasing tension. Use this powerful energy to do strong work, but go slow and mindfully, and avoid potential conflict. Helpful alignments are the Moon’s trine to Jupiter and Neptune, and sextile to Pluto.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
