We are now in the midst of eclipse season, with a solar eclipse having occurred Tuesday, February 17, at 28 degrees of Aquarius, sweeping in the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse. The deaths of nine skiers in a Lake Tahoe avalanche exactly on the Solar Eclipse was a sad event. A lunar eclipse will occur on March 3 at 12 degrees of Virgo. Eclipse days and the two weeks of eclipse season in-between are days to go easy and be mindful.

Saturn entered Aries Friday, February 13. Saturn became conjunct with Neptune exactly on Friday, February 20, at 0 degrees Aries, the beginning of the zodiac, also known as the world point. Saturn brings focus, so it could be good for building something vigorous and demanding such as a stronger exercise routine. It could also bring focus to a courageous endeavor.

Mercury in Pisces (February 6-April 16) is a good time to imagine, draw, and write, and to honor your intuition. Mercury turns retrograde February 25, so complete travel plans, purchases, and contracts these next few days before the reversal. Mercury retrograde, through March 20, is a good time to review, re-think, revise, and re-do.

The Week Ahead:

Saturday afternoon through Monday (until 6:28 pm PST), February 21-23, the Moon is in Taurus. The Taurus Moon is good for gathering documents and figures and to do your tax returns. All things sensual are highlighted, so plan to eat good food and listen to inspiring music. Beautify your home with fragrant flowers. Sunday, February 22, Venus in Pisces makes a trine to Jupiter in Cancer. This is a highly favorable aspect for relationships and finances. Positive connections are made; generosity flows. Celebrate success and good happenings! Complete travel plans, agreements, written communication, and projects in process, as much as possible.

Tuesday and Wednesday, February 24-25, the Moon is in Gemini. Tuesday the Gemini Moon squares the Pisces Sun. Little things may be challenging. Mercury is stationary, turning retrograde on Wednesday at 10:48 p.m. PST.

Thursday and Friday, February 26-27, the Moon is in Cancer. The 26th is a marvelous day when the Moon and the Sun and North Node make a benefic trine and the Moon conjuncts Jupiter. Great things may manifest, though there may be some confusion, as Mercury has just turned retrograde. Friday the 27th is a full, active day astrologically. The Sun conjuncts the North Node, drawing us to our true north. Mars makes an energizing square to Uranus. This is creative and inventive, but it can also make us accident-prone, so go carefully. And Mercury conjuncts Venus in Pisces, an artistic, poetic aspect. A lot will be happening this last day of the work week, and yet, you will be able to handle it all well.

Saturday and Sunday, February 28-March 1, the Moon is in Leo, activating our sense of playfulness and creativity. Saturday Mars conjuncts the recent Solar Eclipse Point, activating the potential of the eclipse. This could be the day that you act on what has been your goal or what has been on your mind. On Sunday Mars is in the last degree of Aquarius, ready to leap into Pisces on Tuesday. The Sun conjuncts the asteroid Pallas Athena at 11 Pisces, highlighting the arts. Visit a museum or a botanical garden. As Athena symbolizes strategy, plot yours for the project of your dreams.

________

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
