The Sun shines in Libra tropically, and the focus is now on partnerships, balance, beauty, and collaboration. Libra’s ruling planet is Venus, and she is a focus for the week ahead, turning retrograde on Saturday, October 3, at 8 degrees of Scorpio. Venus will retrograde back to 22 degrees of Libra and turn direct on November 14. With Venusian energies a strong theme in the coming week, and during the Venus retrograde period, we will want to examine our relationships, priorities, values and resources, and our spending habits. We will also want to consider connections that need repair and strengthening.

Mars enters Leo on Sunday, September 27, and this week will be moving toward an opposition to Pluto, perfecting on Friday, October 2. The Mars-Pluto opposition forms a fixed T-square with Venus. The Mars-Pluto opposition is a turbulent, aggressive combination. The Sun in Libra will help moderate the strong and stormy currents of energy. Mundane illustrations of the fury are the fierce tropical storms we are watching.

There are three long void-of-course Moon periods in the coming week, as follows, in Pacific Time:

·         September 29 at 4:36 pm through September 30 at 10:35 am (Moon into Gemini)

·         October 1 at 7:41 pm through October 2 at 12:54 pm (Moon into Cancer)

·         October 3 at 8:08 am through October 4 at 3:54 pm (Moon into Leo)

When the Moon is void it is not making a major aspect with other planets, and thus, not much is happening. We have a hard time making up our minds about matters, and meetings and connections often do not come together. These times are best for tending to routine tasks and doing things like gardening, reading, or processing email.

This Week:

Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27, the Moon is in Aries.  On Saturday, September 26, the Moon perfects as a Full Moon at 3 degrees of Aries at 9:49 a.m. PDT, connecting with Mars, Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus. This is an invitation to get involved with the global political and social affairs. On Sunday Mars enters Leo where the planet of action will be dynamic and bold, inviting us to be more passionate and assertive. This weekend the Sun forms a kite pattern with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. It forms a Grand Air Trine with Pluto and Uranus, sparking broad, innovative ideas. The Sun opposes Neptune, stirring up doubt and lack of clarity, as well as giving vision and igniting our imagination. With these opposing forces operating, it would be a good idea to consider ideas and action plans, not be blinded or gripped with indecision, and to trust intuition.

Monday and Tuesday, September 28-29, the Moon is in Taurus. Over the next few days Mars will move in opposition to Pluto, generating a stormy, energetic week. The Moon is in Taurus, symbolizing stability and sensuality. Midday Monday the Moon forms strong a T-square with Mars and Pluto, and combines with Venus to create a Grand Cross. The strong hurricane activity now, especially in the Pacific Ocean, is symbolic of this planetary energy, and the storms are likely to release their fury.

Wednesday through Friday at 12:54 p.m, September 30-October 2, the Moon is in Gemini. Fast moving Mercury moves into Scorpio on Wednesday. On Thursday, the first day of October, the Sun trines the Gemini Moon, and the Moon makes supportive aspects to Saturn and Jupiter. This is a good day to move projects forward by collaborating with others as there is a steady flow of good energy. These are days for communication and connection. Friday Mars makes an exact opposition to Pluto, generating powerful, explosive, aggressive energy.

Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, October 2-4, the Moon is in Cancer. Venus turns retrograde on Saturday where it will be until November 14. The Sun opposes Saturn, reminding us of our commitments, duties, and limitations. There is a long void Moon period from 8:08 a.m. until 3:54 p.m. Saturday. This is a good time to take care of routine chores, clean up the garden, or cook some comfort food. The void Moon does not support meetings, shopping, or decision-making, but rather invites us to tend to routine matters.

Sunday evening through Tuesday, October 4-6, the Moon is in Leo, inviting a playful, exuberant start to the week.

Planetary Pointers for the week ahead:

·         Collaborate, cooperate and work on relationship issues.

·         Consider grand, innovative ideas.

·         Re-evaluate your spending habits:  too much or too little?

·         Buckle up! It could be a turbulent, stormy week.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
