In the Stars October 11-18, 2026 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The New Moon in Libra occurred yesterday, October 10, inviting us to address relationship concerns with balance, negotiation, and collaboration. Libra’s ruling planet, Venus, is retrograde until November 14. During the Venus retrograde period, we will want to examine our values and resources, and our spending habits. We will also want to repair and strengthen relationships.
Mars in Leo trines Saturn in Aries all week, exact on Friday, October 16. This aspect encourages productivity. You will have drive and focus, and as it occurs in fire signs, you will be inspired to work quickly and brilliantly.
There are three long void-of-course Moon periods in the coming week, as follows, in Pacific Time:
· October 13: 1:45 am-5:59 pm (Moon into Sagittarius)
· October 15 at 2:55 pm through October 16 at 5:56 am (Moon into Capricorn)
· October 18: 9:12 am-6:39 pm (Moon into Aquarius)
When the Moon is void it is not making a major aspect with other planets, and thus, not much is happening. We have a hard time making up our minds about matters, and meetings and connections often do not come together. These times are best for tending to routine tasks and doing things like gardening, reading, or processing email.

This Week:
Sunday through Tuesday evening at 5:59 pm PDT, October 11-13, the Moon is in Scorpio. Feelings run strong, and you will want to solve problems at a deep and satisfying level.
Tuesday evening through Thursday, October 13-15, the Moon is in Sagittarius. You will have a bounce in your step and be ready for adventure, including some vigorous physical exercise. Thursday is a day of great potential. Pluto stations and moves direct, carrying strong energy for change and transformation. Jupiter’s day (Jueves/Thursday) is full of benefic trines and sextiles, so make the most of this golden day.
Friday through Sunday evening at 6:39 p.m., October 16-18, the Moon is in Capricorn. The weekend is framed for productive work. Mars makes an exact trine to Saturn in fires signs (Mars in Leo to Saturn in Aries), adding focus and desire for accomplishment. This is a weekend to clean up your yard or garage, or tackle a looming project.
Sunday evening through Tuesday, October 18-20, the Moon is in Aquarius. These days invite gathering with friends and broadening your perspectives, and doing something unique and out of the ordinary.
Planetary Pointers for the week ahead:
· Collaborate and cooperate and work on relationship issues.
· Consider your spending habits: too much or too little?
· Ponder your deep areas of concern and how you want to change them.
· Set goals for the week and be focused and intentional.
· Use the weekend for work rather than play.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
