In the Stars February 28-March 7, 2021...shining light on the astrology of the week

The Sun and Venus are now in Pisces, joining Neptune which has been there in its ruling sign for a decade. Pisces is the sign of compassion, inspiration, and sensitivity. This mutable sign, the last of the zodiac, symbolizes the transition from winter to spring. With these planets in Pisces, there is more ease which is a welcome energy from the harsh, aggressive energy of January, and the serious demands of the many planets in Saturn and Uranus-ruled Aquarius in February.

Mars moves into Gemini on Wednesday for the next two months until April 25th. This placement will generate a lot of ideas, and a desire for social connection and conversation. Curiosity will be stirred, and we will want to take some short excursions to nearby places.

Employ the last hours of the Virgo Moon to complete tasks and put things in order on Sunday morning. Boosting Virgo’s industrious energy is a grand earth trine between the Moon, Pluto, and Mars. This is a super-charged alignment. Rather than allowing a usual leisurely Sunday morning, postpone the languishing and put this productive energy to work. At 11:16 a.m. PST the Moon moves into Libra and invites us to a gracious, social day of pleasure. Relax and enjoy the rest of Sunday, and spend time with your beloved.

The Libra Moon makes happy trines with Mercury and Jupiter on Monday, giving a boost of good energy for the work week ahead. This first day of March is calm and peaceful. Make your surroundings more beautiful.

The Libra Moon is void of course Tuesday morning from 6:09 a.m. until 12: 38 p.m. PST when it moves into Scorpio. The morning is emotionally stormy, due to a Moon-Pluto square. The morning is best left for routine, insignificant tasks. We dive deep into our projects and tasks when the Moon moves into Scorpio. Tension mounts in the evening as the Scorpio Moon approximates the degrees of the Saturn-Uranus square. The night ahead may be restless.

Mars ingresses into Gemini on Wednesday for the next two months until April 24th, capturing our attention with whatever piques our curiosity. The Sun and Moon align in a benefic, waning trine. The Moon squares Mercury and Jupiter, perhaps leaving us feeling overextended. A Moon-Neptune trine gives vision and compassion.

Thursday the Moon is void of course again for a long period from 8:09 a.m. until 2:42 p.m. PST, a time to focus on insignificant tasks not involving meetings, connections, or decisions. At 2:42 p.m. PST the Moon bounces into Sagittarius, and then the world looks a little sunnier and brighter. Several challenging aspects may churn up things that need to be addressed. Conversations are active and lively in the light of a Mercury-Jupiter conjunction.

On Friday relationship issues surface as a result of a Venus-Moon square. The Pisces Sun squares the nodal axis, drawing attention to both the past and the future. Friday evening invites us to socialize as the Moon sextiles Jupiter and Mercury.

On Saturday the Moon is Void of Course in Sagittarius nearly all day from 1:43 a.m. until 6:20 p.m. PST. This is a great day for a hike, bike ride, or outdoor adventure. Plan your weekend shopping for Sunday rather than Saturday. Take time out to read, and allow yourself to be transported to far away places.

Sunday’s Capricorn Moon calls us to hard work. Plan the week ahead, and get a lot accomplished. We may veer off path toward something exciting as a result of a Moon-Uranus trine, giving some excitement to the day.

Planetary alignments on Monday support a strong work day, giving an industrious start to the work week. A Moon-Neptune sextile in the morning creates a sense of ease and flow. A Moon-Pluto conjunction in the afternoon pushes us toward accomplishment.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
