In the Stars January 26-February 2, 2025 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun shines in Aquarius tropically from now through February 18. The solar month of Aquarius symbolizes innovation, scientific exploration, concern for humanity, and building community.
From now through Tuesday, January 28, Venus makes a benefic trine to Mars, with Uranus at the midpoint making sextiles to both. There could be some nice twists and turns in relationships, and perhaps some welcome monetary surprises as well.
Mercury conjuncts Pluto in Aquarius Monday and Tuesday, January 27-28, inviting deep, powerful, innovative thinking. Aquarius is a fixed sign, so there may be little openness to different perspectives. Power plays may prevail.
The New Moon in Aquarius January 29 marks the Chinese New Year of the Wood Snake. Snake characteristics are introspection, seriousness, and wisdom. The snake year will be calmer and quieter than the bold, exciting dragon year we have just had. Set intentions for the lunar month ahead with Aquarian themes. How can you extend compassion and caring to immigrants and people who are different from yourself? How can you build community in your life? What aspect of your life would be served with more innovative thinking?
Retrograde Uranus and Jupiter are slowing down, and turning direct January 30 and February 3 respectively.
Venus conjuncts Neptune January 30-February 3, and the Moon joins them on Saturday, February 1. This is an imaginative, artistic combination. These days invite us to envision and work to create a kinder, more compassionate and beautiful world.

Moon Void of Course:
This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
