In the Stars September 7-13, 2026 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun now shines in Virgo until September 22, signaling time to get our lives in order, dive into our studies, tend to our health, and get tasks done. September is calmer than August on the planetary front, paving the way for efficient, productive work to be done under the Virgo Sun.
Uranus slows down and stations on Wednesday, and then turns retrograde at 5 degrees of Gemini on Thursday. When a planet stations and changes direction its energy is especially strong. With Uranus strong we could expect some chaos, change, and surprise midweek.
On Thursday Mercury moves into Libra and Venus moves into Scorpio. These shifts invite conversation that deepens relationships, and passions are stirred. Mercury will be in Libra September 10-30, and Venus will be in Scorpio September 10-25. A New Moon forms on Thursday at 8:26 p.m. at 18 degrees of Virgo.
There are two long void-of-course periods this week (Thursday and Sunday):
· September 10 at 10:52 pm through September 11 at 4:51 pm (Moon into Libra)
· September 13: 7:26 am-11:43 pm (Moon into Scorpio)
When the Moon is void it is not making a major aspect with other planets, and thus, not much is happening. We have a hard time making up our minds about matters, and meetings and connections often do not come together. These times are best for tending to routine tasks and doing things like gardening, reading, or processing email.

This Week:
Monday through Wednesday at 12:35 p.m. PDT, September 7-9, the Moon is in Leo. It is time to create, with intention and discernment (Sun in Virgo/Moon in Leo). You may strike gold on Tuesday, as the Leo Moon conjuncts Jupiter. Wear your sparkle and shine! Be exuberant, glowing, and generous!
Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon at 4:51 p.m. PDT, September 9-11, the Moon is in Virgo. On Wednesday Venus trines the North Node. You could connect with someone who brings out the best in you. This is the time of the month to clean up and get your life in ship shape. However, Uranus stations and turns retrograde on Thursday, so you may experience some disruptions and chaos as you are trying to create order. Embrace the unexpected and be open to surprise. Venus enters Scorpio where it will be until September 25. Mercury enters Libra where it will be until September 30. With these sign changes, passions will be stirred in relationships. A New Moon forms on Thursday at 8:26 p.m. at 18 degrees of Virgo, inviting us to set goals for better health, and get our lives in better order.
Friday evening through Sunday, September 11-13, the Moon is in Libra. We turn our attention to relationships. The Moon and Mercury conjunct in Libra, inviting you to connect with special people who light up your life. On Saturday you will want to have deep, inspiring, extraordinary conversations (Mercury trine Pluto and Mercury opposite Neptune).

Planetary Pointers for the week ahead:
· Go deeper with relationships.
· Wednesday through Friday are the clean-up-and-get-organized days of the month.
· Go with the flow of the chaos and disruptions that Uranus turning retrograde may churn up.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
