Virgo: Chaffs of Wheat Symbolizing the Harvest
Virgo: Chaffs of Wheat Symbolizing the Harvest

Of note, I'll be attending the United Astrology Conference September 2-9 in Chicago www.uacastrology.com. I look forward to many interesting lectures, connecting with colleagues, meeting new people, and stretching my mind with expanded knowledge. I'm in charge of the Professional Astrologers Alliance graduation ceremony at UAC, for those who have achieved all levels of astrological proficiency in the last few years.

The Sun now shines in Virgo until September 22, signaling time to get our lives in order, dive into our studies, tend to our health, and get tasks done.  September is much calmer on the planetary front, paving the way for efficient, productive work to be done under the Virgo Sun.

Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Aries are in a benefic trine all week. This aspect is good for building business, as well as moving through practical matters in your life. The principle of expansion combines well with practical attention to resourcefulness, practicality, and budgetary limitations.

There are only two long void-of-course periods this week (today, Saturday and Wednesday):

·         August 28 at 9:14 am through August 29 at 7:37 pm PDT (Moon into Aries)

·         September 2 at 3:46 am through September 3 at 4:47 am PDT (Moon into Gemini)

When the Moon is void it is not making a major aspect with other planets, and thus, not much is happening. We have a hard time making up our minds about matters, and meetings and connections often do not come together. These times are best for tending to routine tasks and doing things like gardening, reading, or processing email.

This Week:

Saturday, the Moon is in Pisces and void of course all day until 7:37 p.m. PDT. This is a dreamy day. Allow yourself to meander and wander, and be inspired. Lift your spirits by listening to music that moves you. It is a day for dancing and creating.

Sunday through Monday afternoon at 12:47 p.m. PDT, August 30-31, the Moon is in Aries, signaling that it is time to get moving. Sunday the Moon trines Jupiter, conjuncts Saturn and squares Mars. Think big! With the Mars push and grounding of Saturn, you will be able to accomplish a lot. Monday the Moon opposes Venus, inviting us to sweeten our relationships and consider what we value. Jupiter trines Saturn exactly (but in aspect all week) on Monday, good for expanding business, and your work in general.

Tuesday and Wednesday, September 1-2, the Moon is in Taurus. On Tuesday Mars in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries. Progress may seem blocked or there may be obstacles to clear, but with the energy and tension in this square you can power through to good results. Mercury sextiles Mars, giving good energy for problem solving. The Taurus Moon loves all things sensual, so enjoy good food and music. Brighten your home with fresh, fragrant flowers, and make your environment more beautiful.

Thursday and Friday, September 3-4, the Moon is in Gemini. Time for connection. These are social days to make calls, be social, and engage in interesting conversations. Be curious.

Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6, the Moon is in Cancer. The weekend’s focus is on home, family, and comfort. On Saturday the Sun is inconjunct Saturn. Although there may be irritations and obstacles to address, this aspect encourages productivity and accomplishment.

Planetary Pointers for the week ahead:

·         Clean up your diet and your home.

·         Plan to get a lot of tasks on your list accomplished; it is a productive week.

·         Beautify your home.

·         Cook delicious food.

Ten Things to Do with Venus in Libra (August 6-September 9):

  1. Make a special date night with your beloved on Fridays, Venus' Day.

  2. Express affection.

  3. Deepen relationships.

  4. Work out interpersonal conflicts; Venus gives the grace and consideration to do it.

  5. Let your good manners shine.

  6. Dress well and be beautiful.

  7. Make your home a sparkling, peaceful, inspiring place to be.

  8. Host a gathering with close friends; set a pleasing table and share your social graces.

  9. Visit an art gallery.

  10. Surround yourself with beauty,

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
