A Moon-Saturn square gives Sunday a serious tone. The Taurus Moon is practical, and we are called to take care of business. The Aquarius Sun is trine Mars, encouraging active conversation and stimulating ideas. This theme is amplified by a Mercury-Uranus trine which gives brilliant mental energy. A Moon-Pluto trine in the evening invites us to commit to a long-term goal.

Monday is full of possibilities with the Moon in mutable air sign Gemini, making benefic aspects to Jupiter, Ceres, and the Sun. This is a day to generate ideas, dream, and make note of potential projects.

Tuesday, the last day of January, is quiet astrologically. This easy day is welcome. As the Moon is in Gemini, conversation and connection is invited. The only major aspect is a Moon-Neptune square which may call into question ideals that aren’t grounded in reality.

The Moon is void of course all morning on Wednesday, the first day of February, a time best used for insignificant, routine tasks not needing decisions. At 12:11 p.m. PDT the Moon moves into Cancer, the sign of caring and compassion. We are concerned about others, and will want to have a cozy evening at home with loved ones.

On Thursday, Groundhog Day, the Moon continues to shine in Cancer, highlighting home and family. There are numerous benefic, opportunistic aspects: Moon trine Venus; Venus sextile North Node; and Moon sextile Uranus. Take advantage of these opportune aspects. Express compassion and reach out to someone who can benefit from your caring.

Friday may be an unusual day with unexpected events, due to the Sun’s square to Uranus. To march in step with the day’s energies, do something different or in a different way. The day begins with a dreamy Moon-Neptune trine, and ends with the Moon’s edgy aspects to Eris and Pluto. The Moon’s opposition to Mercury early in the day may make us sensitive to words. This is a complex day. Overall, we just want to cozy up at home and make ourselves comfortable, but some adjustments may have to be made.

The Moon moves into Leo on Saturday, setting the rest of the weekend for fun and frolic. A Moon-Jupiter trine boosts the day’s exuberance and optimism, and a Moon-Mars invites curiosity and exploration. A short-distance trip could be delightful. A Mars-Venus square arouses passion in relationships, as well as stirs creative expression.

Sunday the Aquarius Sun trines Mars, creating an energetic, productive day. A Mercury-Uranus trine encourages brilliant conversations out of which will come great ideas. A Moon-Pluto trine in the evening inspires us to work toward long-term goals.

Monday is a mentally stimulating day. Moon and Mars conjunct, activating minds. The Moon sextiles Jupiter and trines Ceres. Furthermore, a Moon-Sun trine adds vigor to the conversation.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
