In the Stars March 28-April 4, 2021...shining light on the astrology of the week: Full Moon

A potent Full Moon shines brightly on Sunday, March 28th with the Sun exactly conjunct Chiron and Venus. Great healing potential for relationships is a gift of this Full Moon. Saturn and Uranus are within three degrees square of each other from now until their next conjunction on June 14th, urging us to push forward out of our comfort zones, work on innovative projects, and find new solutions.

The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon offer greater insight into the art of your life. The Sun, Chiron, and Venus are conjunct at 8:18, 8:49, and 8:56 Aries respectively. The Sabian Symbol for these planets is 9 Aries: A Seer Gazes Intently into a Crystal Ball. This symbol invites us to tune in and look within for illumination, deep insights, and answers. Mine your dreams. Use your Tarot cards, Runes, or the I Ching for oracles of meaning. The Libra Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is: Three Old Masters Hanging in a Special Room in an Art Gallery—Sometimes They Seem to Speak to Each Other. This has to do with capturing life in a work of art. This is an invitation to go more deeply into the visual world. You might visit an art gallery and commune with the art on display. Or, on a more personal level, spend time with the art on your walls. What does your art say to you? How do different aspects of your life speak to each other? Do you love all of the art on your walls, or would this be a time to change some of it to better reflect yourself at this time?

The Moon is Full on Sunday, and opposing a stellium of planets in Aries, with Sun, Chiron, and Venus all at 8 degrees of Aries. The Moon makes a Grand Trine in air signs with Saturn in Aquarius and Mars and the North Node in Gemini; there is a lot of strong, focused energy for consideration, thinking, and planning, all a good balance for the more impulsive energy of Aries. The Full Moon in Libra calls for consideration and equality. With Chiron configured tightly in the mix, there is potential for healing relationships.

The work week begins Monday on an optimistic note with the Moon trine Jupiter. However, some emotional drama may develop as the day wears on, and the Moon squares Pluto. A Neptune-Mercury conjunction leads us to the high road. We can think imaginatively, and forgive easily.

Venus and Saturn form a benefic sextile on Tuesday, bringing good energy to matters of love and money. In the afternoon the Scorpio Moon engages with the Saturn-Uranus square, pushing us to realign our goals, and do things in a new way. Feelings run deep.

Our thinking is cloudy on Wednesday due to the Mercury-Neptune conjunction in Pisces. We feel especially compassionate and caring. A grounded Sun-Saturn sextile will help us navigate the twists and turns through the fog.

The Sagittarius Moon provides optimistic, jovial energy for April Fool’s Day, ushering in the first full month of spring. Numerous benefic aspects generate trust and encouragement. Plan the month ahead with help from the Moon-Saturn sextile.

The Moon continues to shine in sunny Sagittarius on Friday, but planets make harder aspects than yesterday, and thus, there may be some bumps in the road to navigate. A benefic Moon-Jupiter sextile in the afternoon lifts our spirits, and draws us out for an expansive social evening.

Having enjoyed last night’s party, we are ready for an industrious weekend with the shift of the Moon into industrious Capricorn early Saturday morning. A Moon-Uranus trine expands our capacities beyond the usual boundaries, and may present something surprising. A Moon-Chiron square may stir up some self-doubt. A Jupiter-Juno sextile invites us to rely on our significant other for support.

The Last Quarter Moon phase begins on Sunday as the Capricorn Moon squares the Aries Sun, signaling a time to bring closure this next week to the lunar month’s goals and projects. With the thrust of the ambitious Capricorn Moon and the Aries Sun, you can move mountains today. Sunday is not a day of rest according to the planetary energy, but one for serious accomplishment. Mercury is now in Aries, firing up our thinking and giving us confidence about our ideas.

The Aquarius Moon on Monday gives an intellectually stimulating day. The Moon squares Uranus, creating some excitement, and generating new possibilities. Connect with a friend.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
