In the Stars February 13-20, 2022...shining light on the astrology of the week...Full Moon

The creative, confident Leo Moon reaches its fullness on Wednesday, February 16 with the Sun in Aquarius tropically. The Full Moon squares the Moon’s nodal axis, churning up karmic issues and connections. Following the Full Moon, the Moon is in Virgo for 2 ½ days, fostering a time for getting your life in good order. Thursday could be a lucky day if you take advantage of an opportunity for expansion.

The Sun enters Pisces on Friday. For the next month, the Sun illuminates qualities of imagination, inspiration, intuition, and creativity. Dream into the new year. Visit art galleries. Paint pictures. Play music. Write poems. Express your creative inspirations.

Meanwhile, Uranus and Saturn are still in square aspect, hearkening personal and social change.

Sunday is blessed by an inspiring, soft trine to Neptune, which could be helpful in dealing with the harsh, demanding energies of the Moon’s square to Eris and opposition to Pluto later in the day. Stay focused on caring for your home and family.

The work week begins Monday with confidence, thanks to the Moon’s movement into Leo. Pluto perfects in trine aspect to the North Node, adding to the determination and willpower of the Leo Moon. Mercury moves back into Aquarius after its retrograde motion in Capricorn. Our thinking will be more innovative and progressive for the next month. Step into the bold, creative offerings of this first day of the work week.

Tuesday Saturn imposes limits as the Leo Moon forms an opposition. The Aquarius Sun squares the nodal axis, highlighting karmic connections. Conversations flow smoothly as Mercury trines Ceres.

Relationships are a focus on Wednesday as Mars and Venus conjunct at 16:53 degrees of Capricorn tropically. We may feel like it is time to make a commitment, or time to let go of a relationship. The creative, confident Leo Moon reaches its fullness at 27:59 degrees. The Full Moon is square to the nodes, suggesting that karmic issues may need to be addressed. There is a great deal of creative tension in this Full Moon alignment. The Moon is void of course all morning, during which it is best to focus on insignificant routine tasks until the Moon moves into Virgo at 12:42 p.m. When the Moon reaches Virgo, it is time to get our lives in order.

Thursday is an industrious day, and could be a lucky one. The grounded, focused Virgo Moon forms a Grand Earth Trine with Uranus in Taurus and Venus and Mars in Capricorn. This combination can help us set goals, accomplish them, and also gain insights. In addition Jupiter and Uranus form an opportune benefic sextile aspect. However, we must take advantage of this aspect which may come as an expansive opportunity; otherwise it will pass us by.

The Sun enters Pisces, the 12th and last sign of the Zodiac circle, on Friday. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, and this planet makes an opposition to the Virgo Moon early in the day, adding imagination and inspiration to the day. Later in the day the Moon makes a powerful benefic trine to Pluto which gives strong energy for finishing the week’s tasks that we set out to accomplish early in the week. When the Moon moves into Libra at 7:50 p.m. PST, it is time to relax from the responsibilities of the week, and celebrate accomplishments.

Saturday gives a day of rest and leisure. There are few major planetary aspects. The Libra Moon invites us to take it easy, and include some social time. Make your surroundings sparkle with beauty which Libra loves.

Contrary to the peacefulness and grace of Saturday, Sunday may be full of aggravations. The Libra Moon squares Venus and Mars early in the day, stirring feelings that something needs to be addressed. Later in the day the Moon opposes Eris and squares Pluto, stirring deep, unsettling feelings. Ouch! The energy is edgy and can feel frustrating. Still, the Libra Moon will help us express our social graces and move through the day with minimal conflict.

Feelings run deep on Monday as the Moon dives deep into the dark waters of Scorpio searching for truth. The Moon makes challenging aspects to Mercury and Uranus. Stay focused on your goals, and take some solitary time to nourish yourself. The day might be calmed by Moon-Jupiter trine late in the evening.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
