The Sun is in Scorpio for the next two weeks until November 20. Evenings are darker, especially now that Daylight Savings Time has ended.  Create some quiet time for yourself before the extroverted month of Sagittarius begins and holiday parties call us out for celebrations and connection. Dive deep into a research project or a problem to solve with the backdrop of the Scorpio Sun that loves detective work.

November holds ingresses, reversals, and notable aspects. Big shifts include Jupiter turning retrograde on November 11 (through March 11, 2026) and Saturn turning direct November 27. From November 11 to November 27, five planets will be retrograde: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. With so many planets retrograde we can feel personally and collectively somewhat restrained.

On November 8 Uranus moves back into Taurus where it will be one last time through April 2026, directing its transformative energy for change toward material planes of life.

Mercury turns retrograde November 9 at 9 degrees of Sagittarius and is conjunct the star Antares, known for aggressiveness. There are often electronic and mechanical breakdowns during the retrograde period, and there may be more than usual, especially in the early period of this one. Communication mix-ups, mistakes, and delays are also common, so be patient and forgiving. The three-week Mercury retrograde period November 9-29 is a time for reviewing, rethinking, revising, and re-doing. The Mercury retrograde period is a good time to clean up your email in box. Mercury will move back into Scorpio during this period, and then go direct on November 29 at 20 degrees of Scorpio.

The Week Ahead:

Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9, the Moon is in Cancer. The weekend focus is on home, family, and comfort. Mercury turns retrograde on Sunday, Nov 9, where it will be through November 29. The retrograde period calls for us to re-think, re-organize, and re-consider. We may think of changes or improvements to our ideas and plans.

Monday through Wednesday afternoon, November 10-12, the Moon is in exuberant Leo. The Leo Moon invites creativity and play. Monday is an optimistic day as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter. Jupiter is stationary, turning retrograde on Tuesday for the next five months until mid-March. With Jupiter and Saturn retrograde, as well as three other planets, the economy may slow down. Retrograde Mercury conjuncts Mars on Wednesday, presenting tension, aggression, and impulsiveness. Be careful on the road, and drive defensively. On a positive note, minds will be active and we may be able to generate a flow of ideas and solve problems quickly with new thought.

Wednesday afternoon through Friday, November 12-14, the Moon is in Virgo. This is the time of the month to clean up your surroundings and get organized. With the Sun in the sign symbolizing transformation, these would be good days to engage in a major clean-up project such as a garage or basement and get rid of what is no longer useful in your life. On Thursday the 13th the Moon squares Mercury and Mars. We can use this tension and increased determination to press forward with our work.

Saturday through mid-day Monday, November 15-17, the Moon is in Libra. The focus turns toward relationships, social connections, beauty and pleasure. Venus is Libra’s ruling planet. The Scorpio Sun trines Jupiter in Cancer, exact on Sunday. These are days of opportunity.

Monday afternoon through Wednesday, November 17-19, the Moon is in Scorpio. Emotions run deep, especially with both the Sun and Moon in Scorpio. A New Moon forms on Wednesday, November 19, at 28 degrees of Scorpio.  The New Moon opposes Uranus and The Pleiades, and makes loose trines to Jupiter and Saturn. There are surprises and possibilities in this New Moon.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
