In the Stars June 21-28, 2026 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun ingresses into Cancer on Father’s Day Sunday, June 21. This marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of light. This is one of the four cardinal points in the zodiac, the one having to do with home and family. Set intentions, goals, and wishes for these areas of your life.

Chiron has moved into Taurus, a significant change as Chiron has been in Aries since May 2018. Chiron brings us into close contact with Taurean themes for healing having to do with security, finances, and the physical things we have and own. Chiron will be in Taurus until September 17, and then Chiron will move retrograde back into Aries until April 2027 when it moves into Taurus for another eight years until 2034.

Mars enters Gemini on Sunday, June 28, where it will reside until August 11. Mars will ignite energy for communication, learning, travel, and engaging with siblings.

Mercury turns retrograde on June 29, so get your travel plans made, contracts signed, and communication out before the 29th. Tie up loose ends for projects and commitments set in motion.

This Week:

Friday through Sunday afternoon at 1:54 p.m. PDT, June 19-21, the Moon is in Virgo. These days are the time of the month to clean up and get your life in order.  Sunday is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. The Sun ingresses into the sign of Cancer, ushering in a month focused on home, family, history, and traditions. The Moon is void of course from 10:33 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. PDT Sunday, harboring an undefined energy that works well for inconsequential conversations, watching ballgames, or taking a walk to celebrate Father’s Day

Sunday at 1:54 p.m. PDT through Tuesday, June 21-23, the Moon is in Libra.

Turn your attention to your partner and social relations. Seek love and beauty, ease and equanimity. On Monday, the Moon opposes Saturn, drawing attention to commitments, especially social and relational commitments. Tuesday the Sun trines the North Node, shining light on an opportunity that may light your path.

Wednesday through Friday morning (11:40 a.m. PDT), June 24-26, the Moon is in Scorpio. On Thursday the Sun squares Neptune, which can diffuse energy and draw us into several activities at once. Also Saturn and Venus make an opportune trine. By limiting and focusing on one choice at a time, much can be accomplished.

Friday afternoon through Sunday, June 26-28, the Moon is in Sagittarius. Saturday is a glowing day, sporting a glowing Fire Grand Trine with Saturn in Aries, Venus in Leo, and the Moon in Sagittarius, supporting goals and visions.  Mars sextiles Jupiter, making it easy to accomplish physical tasks. The Moon is void of course all day Sunday, until Monday at 12:18 a.m. PDT. Use this meandering, indecisive energy for leisure: read a book, take a hike, or gather for a picnic with friends.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
