The Sun is now in Cancer as of 7:42 pm PT June 20, the Summer Solstice. The focus for the next month is on home and family, cooking and gardening, sensitivity and caring. Cultivate some of these gifts of the zodiac sign of Cancer in the coming month. Spruce up your home. Invite friends and family for a home cooked meal. Express extra care and concern for those in your circle who are lonely, ill, or in emotional distress.
Jupiter is now in Cancer where it will be for the next year, offering gifts of expansion and good fortune for themes of home, family, real estate, and tradition. Cancer is the sign of the zodiac in which Jupiter is exalted, or strongest. Over the next year with Jupiter in Cancer, you might find yourself moving, buying a new home or enhancing the home you have. You may add a family member to your home, or gather with family more frequently. It will be a strong year for home renovations and upgrades, and family ties.
Sunday, June 22, the Taurus Moon conjuncts Uranus. Expect the unexpected. The Sun and Jupiter are conjunct, square to Saturn and Neptune. These alignments color the whole week with unusual energies, wild ideas, and discoveries. We will be called to balance enthusiasm and expansion with vision and limitations. We will be able to imagine big goals, but we will need to adjust them to reality.
A New Moon perfects in Cancer Wednesday, June 25, at 3:31 am PT. This New Moon is magnified by Jupiter’s conjunction with it. This New Moon with Jupiter squares the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries, providing tension between what you dream of and what is possible. For example, you may want to change homes, but can’t afford the home of your dreams, and thus you have to adjust your desires to the reality of your resources. This New Moon is also sextile to Mars, which gives energy for manifestation and efficiently handling the tasks before you.
On Thursday, June 26, Mercury in Cancer sextiles Uranus in Taurus. Brilliant, surprising ideas will pour forth. This is a good day for getting a lot accomplished in new ways, and making new discoveries and connections.
The next day, Friday, June 27, Mercury in Leo trines Saturn in Aries. This aspect will help you manage and ground the brilliant ideas that poured forth through the Mercury-Uranus sextile. You may get a new idea for a writing project, or think about how you could learn a new skill. This sextile is followed the next day by the sextile of Mercury trine to Neptune, expanding your thoughts and ideas. Allow yourself to be more visionary and creative.
Mars is now in Virgo through August 6. Mars in Virgo is good for self-discipline, building an exercise routine, and getting detailed tasks completed.
From now through July 22, we are under the influence of a Kala Sarpa Yoga, a Vedic astrology configuration in which all planets through the orbit of Saturn are hemmed in by the nodal axis. This configuration is broken for two weeks each month when the Moon is outside the orbit, but then the Moon is alone and we can feel isolated and unsupported. During this time energy is blocked. It may not be a good time for major purchases or decisions.
Uranus is now at the last degree of Taurus, and will be changing signs from Taurus to Gemini on July 8. In July and August Uranus will be trine Pluto in Aquarius. Saturn and Neptune will be in Aries at the midpoint between Uranus and Pluto in sextile aspect. This will be a potent combination for ideas, innovations, and information.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
