The big planetary news this week is that Jupiter moves into Cancer on Monday, June 9, where it will be for the next year. Jupiter symbolizes expansion and good fortune, and Cancer symbolizes home and family. Cancer is the sign of the zodiac in which Jupiter is exalted, or strongest. Over the next year with Jupiter in Cancer, you might find yourself moving, buying a new home or enhancing the home you have. You may add a family member to your home, or gather with family more frequently. It will be a strong year for home renovations and upgrades, and family ties.
For the next the next two weeks the Sun is in Gemini where it delights in ideas, connections, and new experiences. Gemini thrives on variety, so engage with new and different experiences, and plan short trips.
Sunday, June 8, Mercury conjuncts Jupiter at 29 degrees Gemini, that last, or anaretic, degree of Gemini. Our thinking will be strong, busy, and expansive. The Moon opposes Uranus, bringing the unexpected. We can envision places to go and people to meet. June 8 is a busy day with a few surprises sure to appear.
On Tuesday, June 10, the Moon makes no aspects to any other planet, which is unusual, but all planets now are either early or late degrees tropically. The day may feel like all is at a standstill. Don’t expect much action to take place. Some good things to do with such a day are to take a long walk; browse through your bookshelf and take some time to read; have coffee with a friend or neighbor; or take time off to watch a movie. Chill and take some time for yourself.
The Moon is Full on Wednesday, June 11, at 20 degrees of Sagittarius, and squares the nodal axis. You may find yourself pulled between what is old and familiar, and what new and exciting. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction squares Jupiter, creating some tension between what fantasy and reality. Pluto also influences the square, adding intensity. This is a complex day. Part of us wants to escape into what we want to believe, but we are challenged by facts and what we think to be true.
Venus moved into Taurus on June 5 and continues strong in its ruling sign through July 4. Venus in Taurus delights in sensual pleasures for the month ahead (see the list of “Ten Things to Do with Venus in Taurus” below).
From now through July 22, we are under the influence of a Kala Sarpa Yoga, a Vedic astrology configuration in which all planets through the orbit of Saturn are hemmed in by the nodal axis. This configuration is broken for two weeks each month when the Moon is outside the orbit, but then the Moon is alone and we can feel isolated and unsupported. During this time energy is blocked. It is not a good time for major purchases or decisions, but a lot of small, somewhat insignificant tasks still can be accomplished.
Uranus will be changing signs from Taurus to Gemini on July 8. In July and August Uranus will be trine Pluto in Aquarius. Saturn and Neptune will be in Aries in between Uranus and Pluto in sextile aspect. This will be a potent combination for ideas, innovations, and information.
Saturn and Neptune have moved into Aries tropically. This combination fosters invention and the resolution of dreams as well as problems. Saturn, demanding attention to detail and responsibility, is in aspect with Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Saturn sextiles Jupiter and Uranus, conjuncts Neptune, and trines Pluto. Saturn will be in an opportune sextile aspect with Uranus within 1-3 degrees through February 2026. This is an excellent time to break bad habits and establish good habits. It is a time for breakthrough, and building something new.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
