In the Stars September 7-14, 2025 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

ree

A Total Lunar Eclipse occurs September 7 at 11:08 a.m. PDT at 15 degrees Pisces, and a partial Solar Eclipse occurs September 21 at 29 degrees Virgo. This can be a time of big changes and shocking events. You may be sorting through your life looking at what you want to let go or change. Be compassionate with yourself and others who may be dealing with big shifts. Plan to keep your life simple and easy the next two weeks as the energies will be intense. My astrologer friend Donna Stellhorn has a recording about the approaching Eclipse season and how it may affect you. It’s available now

The Sun still shines in Virgo tropically. This month holds strong energy for cleaning up your diet, your routine, and your home. It is a good time to get organized and rid yourself of what no longer serves you. Virgo loves to improve itself, striving for order and efficiency.

Uranus is stationary today, September 6, turning retrograde tonight, and joining Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, and Pluto in backward motion. This energy is more internalized and invites us to reconsider our projects and options. The station and turning direction of Uranus is noteworthy, as it coincides with the lunar eclipse. Planetary energy is especially strong and concentrated when planets change direction. Uranus symbolizes sudden changes and reversals, both startling and amazing.

Pluto is now out-of-bounds, and for a long period of time, for the next ten years. A planet is out-of-bounds when its declination is more than 23:16 north or south of the ecliptic. When a planet is out-of-bounds it is erratic, unleashed, and unlimited. This is rare, as Pluto will not be out-of-bounds after 2035 for the next few thousand years. Pluto is in a southern declination, signaling the uprising of people, versus an uprising of leaders and dictators when it is in the northern direction. The last time Pluto was out-of-bounds in a southern direction was 1775-1796 when the Revolutionary War against English rule raged, and the revolutionaries colonized North America.

With the Eclipses the next two weeks, Uranus changing direction, and Pluto out-of-bounds, this is a time of great consequence and change.

The Week Ahead:

Saturday through mid-day Monday, September 6-8, the Moon is in illuminating Pisces. On Sunday, September 7 there is a Total Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees Pisces (Sun is at 15 Virgo). If you have any planets in mutable signs (Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini) near 15 degrees, you may be impacted by the eclipse. Eclipses are power surges, and may correspond with striking changes. Keep your life simple and be mindful. Virgo and Pisces are the service-oriented signs, so stretch yourself and do something of service for your friends, family, or humanity, or all three.

Monday (11:36 a.m. PDT) through Wednesday (1:03 p.m. PDT), September 8-10 the Moon is in Aries. Monday the Moon moves over what some refer to as “The World Point,” 0 degrees of Aries, and conjuncts Saturn and Neptune. The Moon highlights the ongoing benefic aspects between Pluto, Saturn and Neptune, and Uranus, making it a high energy day, good for initiating projects. On Tuesday, another enthusiastic, high-spirited day, the Moon aspects benefic planets Jupiter and Venus.

Wednesday (1:03 p.m. PDT) through Friday (2:38 p.m. PDT), September 10-12 the Moon is in Taurus. The Sun conjuncts the South Node, and thus, opposes the North Node. This is a strong, volatile aspect. Someone may emerge from your past, or we may have intense dreams of ancestors. The Moon moves into Taurus where it is exalted; in other words, the Moon loves being in Taurus. Here it seeks beauty and pleasure. Enjoy the next two days by pleasing the senses with good food and music. Walk in nature; get a massage. Thursday the Taurus Moon trines the Virgo Sun, offering ease and productivity. In addition, the Taurus Moon sextiles Jupiter, squares Venus, and also trines Mercury and the South node which conjunct the Sun, making this a day packed with good energy and potential.

Friday (2:38 p.m. PDT) through Sunday (5:29 p.m. PDT), September 12-14, the Moon is in Gemini. The Moon conjuncts Uranus Friday evening, so expect something unusual to occur. Saturday the Moon squares the South Node/Mercury/Sun conjunction. It is a day for conversations and generating ideas. Sunday the Moon squares the Saturn/Neptune conjunction. Although you may prefer to escape, you are faced with responsibilities.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
