The announcement of war with Iran came in-between the two eclipses and when Mars squared Uranus exactly, a conflict-oriented, dangerous aspect. A lunar eclipse occurs Tuesday, March 3 at 12 degrees of Virgo. Eclipses are power surges. Go easy now through Tuesday and keep things as simple as possible in your life.

Jupiter is slowing in preparation for turning direct in motion March 11 after five months retrograde. When Mercury turns direct March 21 all planets will be in direct motion until May 5 when Pluto turns retrograde.

Mercury turned retrograde February 25, and will be moving in reverse motion through March 20. This period is a good time to review, re-think, revise, and re-do. As an example of Mercury retrograde's trouble and potential, last Thursday my computer blanked out. It was diagnosed the next day as a dead power cord. Technological and mechanical problems are more frequent during Mercury retrograde periods. This meant that I had to cancel two zoom meetings that I was set to host, and now they need to be rescheduled. I revised my schedule Friday and Saturday while waiting for a new power cord to arrive. I worked on two writing projects that had been on the back burner, both involving reviewing and editing documents. I dug into a re-organizing project reviewing and cleaning up files in a file cabinet, a project that had also been on a back burner. Having no access to my computer for 2 ½ days proved to be fruitful in other ways. When I re-oriented myself to other projects that needed attention, these days were satisfying rather than frustrating, and I felt a sense of accomplishment. I have italicized and highlighted the words that are related to the potential of Mercury retrograde that I experienced: reschedule, revise, review, re-organize, and re-orient. Mercury in Pisces (February 6-April 16) is a good time to imagine, draw, and write, and to honor your intuition.

While I was reviewing and cleaning up my astrological files yesterday, I came across astrologer Lynn Koiner’s list of ten good things that could happen during a Mercury retrograde period:

1.      Find lost items.

2.      Hear from people in your past.

3.      Hear from old clients or employers.

4.      Finish old projects.

5.      Polish up a great idea.

6.      Run meetings to re-evaluate and re-consider ideas and plans.

7.      Discover fixes for long-term problems.

8.      Learn the truth.

9.      Corruption is exposed.

10.  Read about or experience crazy mistakes that will make you laugh.

This Week:

Sunday March 1, the Moon is in Leo. On Sunday Mars is in the last degree of Aquarius, ready to leap into Pisces on Monday. The Sun conjuncts the asteroid Pallas Athena at 11 Pisces, highlighting the arts. Visit a museum or a botanical garden. As Athena symbolizes strategy, plot yours for the project of your dreams.

Monday and Tuesday, March 2-3, the Moon is in Virgo. These two days invite us to clean up and get organized. Check off as many tasks as possible that are on your “to do” list these days.  Mars moves into Pisces on Monday until April 9. Here Mars is under water, not at its best but here it can access intuition and secrets may be revealed. Tuesday is the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. The Sun is conjunct asteroid Pallas Athena, an advocate for women and underdogs. Pallas Athena is the goddess of war and strategy, and also heralds the arts. In addition to Mars and the Sun, the North Node, Mercury and Venus are in Pisces, strongly supported by Jupiter in Cancer. Powerful feminine forces are at work. These would be good days, with so many planets in Pisces, to clean up your winter garden and prepare for spring. Keep Tuesday as simple as possible; eclipse days hold power surges of energy. This is also a good day to free yourself from what is no longer needed or wanted.

Wednesday through Friday, March 4-6, the Moon is in Libra. Wednesday Venus sextiles Uranus, an invitation for new kinds of fun. Say “yes” to invitations and opportunities. Do something different; invite a pleasant surprise to show up. Thursday Jupiter trines the Sun in Pisces. You could do something amazing and creative. Get out of your comfort zone and express yourself. Venus enters Aries on Friday. Like Mars, this is not a comfortable sign for her. She likes peace and ease, not aggression and conflict. Venus joins Saturn and Neptune in the sign of initiation and action, so enjoy the ride.

Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8, the Moon is in Scorpio when feelings run deep. Saturday Mercury is conjunct the Sun, and Venus is conjunct Neptune. You are inspired to connect with nature and observe the natural beauty of the world around you. Your mind is sharp. and clear. Saturday is a good day for planning and communicating. Sunday is a lovely day with Mercury trine Jupiter, Sun trine the Moon, and Venus conjunct Saturn. The Scorpio Moon forms a Grand Trine with Mercury in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, supporting emotionally positive experiences. This would be a good day to work out any interpersonal conflict.

________

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
