February harbors several major astrological events: Saturn enters Aries, and conjoins Neptune at 0 degrees Aries, the beginning of the zodiac, also known as the world point. Uranus turns direct February 3. A solar eclipse occurs February 17 at 28 Aquarius at the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse. Expect innovation, restlessness, initiation, and surprising twists and turns. Mercury enters Pisces February 6, and turns retrograde February 26. Mercury in Pisces (February 6-April 16) is a good time to imagine, draw, write, and to honor your intuition.
The Sun shines in Aquarius tropically, symbolizing friendship and humanity. The Sun is situated with five other planets in Aquarius: Mars, Pluto, Vesta, Venus, and Mercury. Wherever Aquarius is in your horoscope, that area of your life is activated and electrified. This is a month to honor old friends and make new ones, and network to build community. Become more politically active and socially concerned. Stand up for democracy; write or call your congressmen or senators.
The Full Moon Sunday, February 1, at 13:03 Leo ignites the Sun and five planets in Aquarius. The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is “Cherub-like, a Human Soul Whispers into Every Receptive Ear, Seeking to Manifest.” New realizations are possible. Listen for messages from ancestors and loved ones on the other side.
Retrograde Uranus turns direct February 3 at 27 degrees of Taurus. Planetary energy amplifies when it slows down. As a result, there may be disruptions, chaos, and surprises. Uranus will enter Gemini on April 25, joining the big shifts of Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto into new signs.

The Week Ahead:
Saturday, January 31, the Moon is in Cancer until 4:08 p.m. PST, highlighting home and family matters. Cook some comfort food and fluff up your home.
Saturday evening through Monday, January 31-February 2, the Moon is in Leo. A Full Moon forms on Sunday, February 1 at 13 degrees Leo. The Sun in Aquarius is flanked by Pluto, Mars, and Vesta in early degrees on one side, and Venus and Mercury in later degrees on the other side. This is an energized Full Moon. The Moon’s transit through Leo for these two days opposes the six planets in Aquarius, igniting the play between oneself and others. Connect with friends and engage with your community.
Tuesday and Wednesday, February 3 and 4, the Moon is in Virgo. This is the time of the month to clean up, get organized, and complete as many tasks as possible on your “to do” list. Uranus turns direct on Tuesday after a five-month backward spin. With all planets now direct except Jupiter, personal and global affairs will move forward more quickly. Jupiter retrograde may still impede progress, but not stop it, as political leaders will remain anxious about losing power with Jupiter retrograde until March 11. There may be some shifts and surprises early mid-week as a result of Uranus turning direction.
Thursday and Friday, February 5 and 6, the Moon is in Libra. Thursday the Moon squares Saturn and Neptune, and trines Pluto, encouraging us to address limitations, garner determination, and work toward our dreams. On Friday, a Moon-Jupiter square stretches us to continue building and expanding. Mercury enters Pisces on Friday, giving vision and drawing us into mystical, philosophical thinking.
Saturday afternoon through Monday, February 7-9, the Moon is in Scorpio. Feelings run deep. Super Bowl Sunday is graced with an enthusiastic, optimistic, passionate Moon-Jupiter trine.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
