The Sun shines in Aquarius tropically, symbolizing friendship and humanity. This is a month to honor old friends and make new ones. It is also a month to reach out and support social causes, whether participating in a protest march, writing or calling your congressmen or senators, or donating to social causes whose mission you want to support. The Sun is situated with five other planets in Aquarius: Mars, Pluto, Vesta, Venus, and Mercury. Wherever Aquarius is in your horoscope, that area of your life will be activated.
As I write, much of the United States braces for a massive ice and snowstorm. This ice storm is a strong symbol for the energy of the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in mutable water sign Pisces.
Neptune moves into Aries on Monday, January 26. Neptune entered Aries in 2025, but then backed into Pisces. Now it will move into Aries on for the next 13 years until March 2039. When Neptune was last in Aries in the late 1800s, advancements were made in chemistry and energy. Newspapers and magazines were mass produced and this was the era of the spiritualist movement. Expect innovation.
Uranus is retrograde and slowing toward its station February 3 when it will turn direct. Planetary energy amplifies when it slows down. As a result, there may be disruptions and chaos, as well as surprises.

The Week Ahead:
Saturday through Sunday morning, January 23-25, the Moon is in Aries. Take initiative. We may feel overextended on Saturday as the Moon squares Jupiter; we will also have the capacity to get a lot accomplished.
Sunday morning through mid-day Tuesday, January 25-27, the Moon is in Taurus, drawing us toward practical matters and sensual pleasures. On Monday, the 26th, Neptune enters Aries for the next 13 years. Neptune energy is ethereal and imaginative. Honor this major shift with some compassionate care for yourself. Attend a yoga class or get a massage. Wrap yourself in warm, cozy blankets, go to bed early and give yourself more time to dream. This is a big shift toward innovation and invention. Mars and Pluto are moving toward a conjunction, exact on Tuesday. Various social and personal issues will likely heat up. On Tuesday the Moon conjuncts Uranus; expect diversions from routine and surprises.
Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon, January 27-29, the Moon is in Gemini.
The Gemini Moon invites curiosity and communication. Wednesday is a great day for socializing. The Gemini Moon trines the Aquarius Sun, and there are supportive lunar aspects.
Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon, January 29-31, the Moon is in Cancer, highlighting home and family concerns. Mercury and Venus are conjunct on Thursday, and the world looks beautiful. On Friday the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, giving joy and exuberance. The Moon’s transit through Leo for these two days will oppose the six planets in Aquarius, igniting the play between oneself and others.
Saturday afternoon through Monday, January 31-February 2, the Moon is in Leo. A Full Moon forms on Sunday, February 1. The Sun in Aquarius is flanked by Pluto, Mars, and Vesta in early degrees on one side, and Venus and Mercury in later degrees on the other side. This is an energized Full Moon.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
