In the Stars June 12-19, 2022 . . . shining light on the astrology of the week

The spring season is coming to a close. The Summer Solstice on June 21 marks the beginning of summer. The days are long, fostering gatherings, excursions, and conversations.
As Saturn retrogrades it will move closer to its last square with Uranus in early October. This major aspect invites change. Consider what is no longer useful in your life, and the changes you want to make to revolutionize your future. This aspect was active all of 2021, and gives one more opportunity to catapult into the years ahead in new ways.

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but it begins with a relentless Moon-Saturn square, demanding attention to work and duty. However, a Moon-Neptune trine eases the tension. The Moon’s opposition to Mercury may churn up disagreements. Yet, when the Moon arrives in Sagittarius at 3:31 p.m. PDT our spirits are uplifted, and we let go of disgruntlements and issues about which we are fretting.
We are set for adventure on Monday with the Moon in sunny Sagittarius, opposing Mercury’s ingress into Gemini. We are curious and light-hearted. Trines to Mars and Chiron motivate us to move forward and take some risk.
The Moon perfects in its fullness on Tuesday at 4:51 a.m. PDT near the Galactic Center at 23:25 Sagittarius. This is a bright, buoyant, inspired energy, and in benefic aspect to Saturn and Eris, giving power for moving projects forward. The Full Moon marks the beginning of a long void Moon period during which it is best to focus on insignificant tasks at hand. Time can be wasted with meetings and issues requiring decisions. At 3:13 p.m. PDT the Moon moves into Capricorn, ending its void period. You will feel more organized and industrious as the evening wears on.
Wednesday invites productivity. A Mars-Chiron conjunction, squared by the Moon in the afternoon makes us more sensitive, as well as prone to anger. Yet, we are determined and can forge ahead independently, thanks to a Moon-Uranus trine. A Sun-Saturn trine in air signs helps us talk things out objectively and resolve issues. The day is full of aspects and grounded energy. Make the most of this mid-week day.
Venus conjuncts the North Node in Taurus on Thursday, leading us to our true north in relationships and finances. The Moon‘s hard aspects to Eris and Pluto can stir up intense emotions. The Sun’s square to Neptune may spread confusion, or alternately, give vision. An evening Moon-Mercury enables easy communication and lively conversations. Answer the call to gather with friends.
Be prepared to be knocked off your routine on Friday. The Aquarius Moon seeks freedom and uniqueness. The Moon's square to Uranus may bring changes to our plans. A benefic Moon-Mars aspect puts a bounce in our step. Enjoy the offerings of the day, even if they are not what you thought they would be. Join with friends for social time in the evening.
The independent Aquarius Moon squares the possessive Venus in Taurus early on Saturday, creating a rub between different needs in relationships that may need to be addressed. Later in the day Venus squares off with Saturn, not making matters any easier. It may be time to confront what is not working in partnerships, especially in terms of financial concerns. The Moon is void of course from 11:50 a.m. until 4:01 p.m. PDT, framing a good time for gardening, housecleaning, or other weekend chores. The evening is colored by the dreamy, compassionate glow of the Moon in Pisces. Escape into a movie and relax.
Father’s Day Sunday is cloaked with the love and compassion of the Pisces Moon. A Moon-Ceres trine fosters caring for family without sacrificing oneself. A Mercury-Jupiter sextile encourages expansive conversations. Honor your dad with appreciation.
Ease into the work week gently on Monday. The Pisces Moon infuses its soft, creative, poetic energy into the day, amplified by a Moon-Neptune conjunction. Allow yourself to go with the flow and dream your future.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
