In the Stars November 2-9, 2025 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun is in Scorpio for the next three weeks until November 20. This month invites us to dive deep and go inward. Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, November 2. The month of Scorpio holds Halloween, the Day of the Dead, and All Soul’s Day. Days are darker. The month calls for quiet time before the extroverted month of Sagittarius when holiday parties call us out for celebrations and connection. Spending time reading, researching, and pondering can be satisfying when the Sun is in Scorpio.

November holds ingresses, reversals, and notable aspects. Big shifts are Jupiter turning retrograde on November 11 (through March 11) and Saturn turning direct November 27. From November 11 to November 27, five planets will be retrograde: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. With so many planets retrograde we can feel personally and collectively restrained and reflective.

On November 2 and 3 a T-square forms between Venus in Libra, Chiron in Aries, and Jupiter in Cancer. This tense configuration may call out courage to face issues and conflicts in relationships that need to be addressed. Mars ingresses into Sagittarius and opposes Uranus on Tuesday, November 4. This aspect could trigger surprises, anger, and impulsive actions, so go carefully, but be open to an unusual event in your life. A Full Moon perfects on Wednesday, November 5. Mars sextiles Pluto on November 6. Venus in Scorpio forms a yod with Neptune and Uranus, calling forth new potential in matters of love and money. This week gives drive for adventure and a lot of energy. We will be prone to impulsive, reckless action, so be careful, and think twice before you take action. Passion stirs love relationships.

On November 8 Uranus moves back into Taurus where it will be one last time through April 2026, directing its transformative energy for change in the material planes of life.

Mercury turns retrograde November 9, so now is the time to wrap up contracts and agreements, and finish invitations and missives that need to be sent out. The three-week Mercury retrograde period November 9-30 is a time for re-thinking and revising.

The Week Ahead:

Saturday, November 1, the Moon is in Pisces. The Pisces Moon forms a Grand Trine with Mars in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer. This is a high energy day for creativity. Allow your imagination to soar.

Sunday and Monday, November 2-3, the Moon is in Aries. These days call for vigorous physical activity and adventure. Mars is opposite Uranus, exact on Tuesday. Go carefully, as this alignment can result in accidents from moving too fast or being reckless. This aspect also can help us solve problems in clever ways.

Tuesday and Wednesday, November 4-5, the Moon is in Taurus. These days are productive and practical. Allow yourself some pleasant indulgences. Mars enters Sagittarius and opposes Uranus, so expect surprises. We are prone to impulsive action, so measure twice, cut once. A Full Moon perfects on November 5; with the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Taurus, it is time to turn your attention to your finances. Balance your checkbook and review your investments.

Thursday and Friday, November 6-7, the Moon is in Gemini. You may be distracted by possibilities and conversations. Venus enters Scorpio on Tuesday, stirring passions. On Friday Uranus moves back into Taurus for a last pass the next few months in fixed earth sign Taurus. These months ahead with Uranus in Taurus (through April 28, 2026) invite new thinking regarding financial and other practical matters.

Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9, the Moon is in Cancer. The weekend focuses us on home, family, and comfort. Mercury turns retrograde on Sunday, Nov 9, where it will be through November 30. It is time to re-think, revise, and re-do the projects and goals in our lives.

Monday through Wednesday afternoon, November 10-12, the Moon is in exuberant Leo. Monday is an optimistic day as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, and Jupiter is stationary, making its impact more powerful, and turning retrograde on Tuesday for the next five months.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
