In the Stars March 21-28, 2021...shining light on the astrology of the week: Full Moon

Spring is here with the arrival of the Sun in Aries on Saturday, March 20th. There is a potent Full Moon on Sunday, March 28th with the Sun exactly conjunct Chiron and Venus. Great healing potential for relationships is a gift of this Full Moon. Mars continues to give a push to several planets this week, and thus, our lives. Mars trines Saturn, and Saturn squares Uranus. With Mars, Venus, Sun, Chiron, Saturn, and Uranus all aspecting each other this week, we are able to push forward out of our comfort zones and solve problems, as well as realize tremendous healing if we use the energy.
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon are invitations into greater insight into the art of your life. The Sun, Chiron, and Venus are conjunct at 8:18, 8:49, and 8:56 Aries respectively. The Sabian Symbol for these planets is 9 Aries: A Seer Gazes Intently into a Crystal Ball. This symbol invites us to tune in and look within for illumination, deep insights, and answers. Work with your dreams. Use your Tarot cards, Runes, or the I Ching for oracles of meaning. The Libra Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is: Three Old Masters Hanging in a Special Room in an Art Gallery—Sometimes They Seem to Speak to Each Other. This has to do with capturing life in a work of art. This is an invitation to go more deeply into the visual world. You might visit an art gallery and commune with the art on display. Or, on a more personal level, spend time with the art on your walls. What does your art say to you? How do different aspects of your life speak to each other? Do you love all of the art on your walls, or do you feel called to change some of it to better reflect yourself or inspire yourself at this time?

On Sunday the Moon moves into Cancer, the sign symbolizing home and family, a perfect backdrop for a weekend with family. Venus moves into Aries, encouraging us to move forward and take more risk in romance. A Mercury-Uranus sextile gives mental stimulation, great for brainstorming and problem-solving. A Mars-Saturn trine grounds the energy and gives energy and sensibility.
Monday is a softer, quieter day. Tend to the home fires, and nourish your family. An evening Moon-Neptune trine fosters a gentle, peaceful night, and a soft and dreamy sleep. Take a hot bath and end the day with grace and ease.
Tuesday holds an emotionally charged morning with the sensitive Cancer Moon opposite Pluto. The Moon is void of course the better part of the day from 8:26 a.m. until 2: 56 p.m. when the Moon bursts into sunny Leo. While the Moon is void it is best to take care of routine, insignificant tasks. Meetings may not come together or may be compromised. In the early evening the Moon makes a benefic trine to the Sun and Venus, creating a warm and playful vibe for a delightful winding down of the day.
High winds of change are blowing on Wednesday. The Leo Moon connects with the Uranus-Saturn square, creating a T-square of these three planets in fixed signs. This discomfort of rigid structures may become too uncomfortable; the tension may help us break through stuck places toward some sort of liberation. Mercury squares the nodal axis, enabling our minds to contemplate possibilities for changing patterns.
A Moon-Jupiter opposition encourages us to spring out of bed on Thursday and greet the day. We feel enthusiastic, optimistic, and energized. A Sun-Venus conjunction warms our hearts.
The Moon’s pass through Virgo Friday and Saturday signals a time for cleaning up and getting your life in order. Virgo, the mutable earth sign, makes order out of chaos, and likes things to be clean and tidy. Mars is conjunct the North Node, leading us courageously into the future. The Moon trines Uranus, making change possible. Saturday morning’s Moon-Neptune opposition brings a dreamy, artistic energy into the landscape. While you are putting your life in order, consider how you can make your surroundings more beautiful as well.
The Moon is Full on Sunday, opposing a stellium of planets in Aries, with Sun, Chiron, and Venus all at 8 degrees of Aries. The Moon makes a Grand Air Trine with Saturn in Aquarius and Mars and the North Node in Gemini; there is strong, focused energy for consideration, thinking, and planning, a good balance for the more impulsive energy of Aries. The Full Moon in Libra calls for balance and equality. With Chiron configured tightly in the mix, there is potential for healing relationships.
The work week begins Monday on an optimistic note with the Moon conjunct Jupiter. However, some emotional drama may develop as the day wears on when the Moon squares Pluto. A Neptune-Mercury conjunction leads us to the high road. We can think imaginatively, and forgive easily.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
