The big news this week is that Saturn enters Aries Friday, February 13. and conjoins Neptune at 0 degrees Aries, the beginning of the zodiac that is known as the world point. Aries is not a comfortable placement for Saturn, as Aries is fast, quick, and impatient. Saturn is slow, measured and thorough. Saturn brings focus, so it could be good for building a vigorous exercise routine, or bringing focus to a courageous endeavor. Uranus is now direct in the last degrees of Taurus, moving into Gemini April 25th.
A solar eclipse occurs February 17 at 28 Aquarius at the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse. We can expect innovation, restlessness, initiation, and surprising twists and turns.
Mercury in Pisces (February 6-April 16) is a good time to imagine, draw, and write, and to honor your intuition. Mercury turns retrograde February 26, so complete travel plans, purchases, and contracts soon before the reversal.
For two more weeks the Sun shines in Aquarius tropically, symbolizing friendship and humanity. This is a month to honor old friends and make new ones, and network to build community. Become more politically active and socially concerned. Stand up for democracy; write or call your congressmen or senators.

The Week Ahead:
Saturday afternoon through Monday, February 7-9, the Moon is in Scorpio. We dive deep into our feelings. Super Bowl Sunday is graced with an enthusiastic, optimistic, passionate Moon-Jupiter trine. In addition, Venus squares Uranus. We will want to do something new and different, and some surprises may be in store.
Tuesday through mid-day Thursday. February 10-12, the Moon is in Sagittarius. Our spirits are filled with optimism and a zest for adventure. On Tuesday, February 10, Venus moves into Pisces tropically, where it is exalted, and conjuncts Mercury. Venus in Pisces draws us toward beauty. We are more imaginative, expressive, and romantic. On Thursday, February 12, Mars in Aquarius inconjuncts Jupiter in Cancer; we may feel pulled in too many directions and may be unsure how to structure the day. Keep moving.
Mid-day Thursday through Saturday, February 12-14, the Moon is in Capricorn. These are industrious days to get a lot accomplished. Saturn enters Aries Friday, February 13, at 4:11 p.m. PST. Valentine’s Day Saturday the asteroid Juno, symbolizing the mate, opposes Jupiter. This should be good for couples’ relationships, fostering serious, practical conversations. Against the background of a Capricorn Moon, celebratory evenings should be budget-conscious. There may be an element of surprise as the Moon trines Uranus.
Sunday and Monday, February 15-16, the Moon is in Aquarius. On Sunday the Moon conjuncts Pluto in Aquarius, stirring strong feelings. Political protests may be strongly activated. Monday the Moon conjuncts Mars. Gather with old and new friends.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
