Daylight Savings Time begins in most of the United States on Sunday, March 8, officially at 2:00 a.m. Spring forward, and turn your clocks ahead one hour.

The first eclipse season of the year is now behind us, and what an eventful one is has been! The war initiated with Iran is the biggest event. Many changes and challenges have followed such as higher gas prices, stock market drops, and general chaos in the world.

Jupiter turns direct March 11 after five months retrograde. Jupiter symbolizes expansion and good fortune. The big planet turns direct at 15:05 degrees of Cancer, the midpoint, tropically, of the sign symbolizing home and family. Then it will rapidly move through the last degrees of Cancer until June 29 when it will move into Leo. The next few months Jupiter invites us to create a more satisfying, comfortable home environment. Wherever Cancer is in your horoscope you will feel supported and encouraged.

Mercury continues retrograde through March 20. This period is a good time to review, re-think, revise, and re-do. When Mercury turns direct all planets will be in direct motion until May 5 when Pluto turns retrograde.

Mercury in Pisces (February 6-April 16) is a good time to imagine, draw, and write, and to honor your intuition.

Again this week I’ll include astrologer Lynn Koiner’s list of ten good things that could happen during a Mercury retrograde period:

1.      Find lost items.

2.      Hear from people in your past.

3.      Hear from old clients or employers.

4.      Finish old projects.

5.      Polish up a great idea.

6.      Run meetings to re-evaluate and re-consider ideas and plans.

7.      Discover fixes for long-term problems.

8.      Learn the truth.

9.      Corruption is exposed.

10.  You will read about or experience crazy mistakes that will make you laugh.

This Week:

Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8, the Moon is in Scorpio when feelings run deep. Saturday Mercury is conjunct the Sun, and Venus is conjunct Neptune. You are inspired to connect with nature and observe the natural beauty of the world around you. Your mind is sharp. and clear. Saturday is a good day for planning and communicating. Sunday is a lovely day with Mercury trine Jupiter, Sun trine the Moon, and Venus conjunct Saturn. The Scorpio Moon forms a Grand Trine with Mercury in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, supporting emotionally positive experiences. This would be a good day to work out any interpersonal conflict, or metaphorically, to make gold out of metal. Sunday is a strong day for building something lasting in your world.

Monday through Wednesday, March 9-11, the Moon is in Sagittarius. These days call for outdoor adventure, exploration, and optimism. On Monday the Moon trines Saturn in Aries. This alignment encourages vigorous, disciplined exercise; expansive travel plans; or learning a new skill or concept. Venus sextiles Pluto, inviting depth in relationship. Tuesday’s big news is that Jupiter turns direct in motion after a five-month backward spin. Look for where 15 degrees Cancer is in your horoscope, and expect some forward motion in that area of your life. The Moon is void of course for over 18 hours on Wednesday, from 2:38 a.m. to 9:07 p.m. PDT. Wednesday is a day for cleaning house, organizing files, working in your garden, or reading. It is not one for shopping, meetings, or making connections. Energies are disconnected, but it can still be a productive day if you use it for inconsequential matters, and refrain from making decisions that will likely change later.

Thursday and Friday, March 12-13, the Moon is in Capricorn. These days demand hard work and productivity. Mars conjuncts the North Node. You may connect with someone or something that will be a guiding star in your life. This alignment may bring more aggression and violence in the world. A positive personal expression could be strident movement forward toward one’s purpose.

Saturday through Monday afternoon, March 14-16, the Moon is in Aquarius. These days invite focus on humanitarian concerns and friendship. Engage politically. Give donations to your favorite social causes. Reach out and connect with friends. On Saturday the Moon conjuncts Pluto, making for a day of deep exploration about what is important to you, and what you want to change and transform.

Moon Void of Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
