In the Stars March 7-14, 2021...shining light on the astrology of the week: New Moon in Pisces
The Sun, Neptune, and Venus are closely conjunct all week in Pisces, the sign symbolizing compassion, sensitivity, and emotion. This mutable sign, the last of the zodiac, symbolizes the transition from winter to spring. The Sun and Neptune form an exact conjunction on Wednesday. The Moon lights up the Pisces party on Saturday, forming a New Moon. With these planets in Pisces, the zodiac sign ruled by Neptune and Jupiter, there is ease and flow. Imagination, inspiration, and intuition are more available. Allow yourself to flow with this creative energy for the next two weeks, as this dreamy energy will shift when the Sun reaches the Spring Equinox, the 0 Aries point on March 20th. In addition to the dreamy, creative energy of Pisces, this week, the Moon traverses the signs Capricorn and Aquarius, contacting Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter, encouraging hard work, accomplishing goals, and meeting responsibilities. In addition, take time to relax, watch movies, play music, take a few hot baths, and allow yourself more sleep and dream time.
Mars is now in Gemini until April 25th. Mars in this mutable air sign generates a lot of ideas, and a desire for social connection and conversation. Curiosity abounds, and we may want to take some short excursions to nearby places.

Sunday’s Capricorn Moon calls us to hard work. Plan the week ahead and get a lot accomplished. We may veer off path toward something exciting as a result of a Moon-Uranus trine.
Planetary alignments on Monday support a strong work day, giving an industrious start to the work week. A Moon-Neptune sextile in the morning gives a sense of ease and flow. A Moon-Pluto conjunction in the afternoon pushes us toward accomplishment.
Tuesday is a day for friends and groups with the Moon in Aquarius. The Moon conjuncts Saturn and lights up the Saturn-Uranus square. There are demands to meet our responsibilities, and we will feel pushed to blast past limitations, solve problems, and turn chaos into order. Venus squares the nodes, so relationships past and present may be on our minds.
The Moon conjuncts Jupiter on Wednesday morning, making for an optimistic, buoyant day. Later on, the Moon and Mercury align, and as they are in Aquarius, they can generate brilliant ideas.
Thursday is Jupiter’s Day, and the Moon is in Pisces, whose ancient ruler is Jupiter. Optimism and wisdom pour forth. An argumentative Moon-Mars alignment may make the evening a bit tense. However, a benefic Moon-Uranus sextile helps us lighten up, and see other points of view. The Moon is dark before the New Moon early Saturday morning, so take some solitude.
You may want to take off work on Friday and head to the beach or to a beautiful, relaxing place. Friday is an easy day that ushers in the weekend. The Pisces Moon invites escape into a movie, a hot bath, and a good night’s sleep.
The Pisces New Moon aligns at 2:21 a.m. PST on Saturday, conjoining both Neptune and Venus. Some unexpected events may be triggered by this New Moon, and the results may unfold over the coming lunar month. Venus and Neptune conjunct, showering us with uplifting love and compassion. This New Moon bodes well for compassion, sensitivity, and creativity. The Moon is void of course most of the day from 8:37 a.m. through 3:43 p.m. PST, best for focusing on insignificant, routine tasks.
Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m. The clocks spring forward, and with the Moon in Aries, we bounce forward as well. Sunday is set for adventure and spontaneity. Take a vigorous hike. Lean into the week ahead with vim and vigor.
The work week begins Monday with the zest and high energy of the Aries Moon. A Moon-Jupiter trines gives optimism to the day. Mercury moves into Pisces, making us more open and intuitive for the next three weeks. Get moving energetically on your tasks and goals for the week.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
