In the Stars September 29-October 6 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun shines in the sign of Libra tropically, bringing focus on relationships, love, and beauty. An annular Solar Eclipse occurs on Wednesday, October 2 at 10 degrees Libra tropically. Mercury, Black Moon Lilith, and Juno are conjunct the eclipse, highlighting relationship issues. Mars is in square aspect, which may correspond with the escalation of war in the Middle East.
Uranus, Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, and Pluto are retrograde, inviting reflection.
______
Saturday, September 28, holds a romantic theme. A desire for more space and independence emerges as evening comes. The Libra Sun’s alignment with the South Node may bring us into contact with old relationships, and relational patterns of the past may confront us.
Sunday, September 29, is not a day of rest from an astrological perspective. The Virgo Moon calls for industry and efficiency applied to getting our lives in order. A Mars-Saturn trine in water signs help the Virgo Moon attend to the tasks at hand. Relational connections from the past are still supported.
The desire to check off the tasks on our list continues on Monday, September 30. A Moon-Saturn opposition may make us feel that the goals we have set are impossible to attain. A Jupiter-Moon square gives confidence and ambition. Garner the courage of the Moon-Mars sextile to do all you can do. The Sun and Mercury are conjunct in Libra. We will be talkative and filled with ideas.
The Virgo Moon has bigger and better things to do than attend to the tasks at hand and do the dishes on Tuesday October 1. This first day of October starts with an exciting Moon-Uranus trine which may pull us in a different direction from what is intended. A Moon-Neptune opposition gives vision, and a Moon-Pluto trine gives drive. In light of tomorrow’s Solar Eclipse, the alignments are especially potent. Make the most of the day, but keep things simple in the shadow of Wednesday’s eclipse. A Ceres-Venus sextile benefits relationships with caring and emotional intelligence.
The New Moon perfects on Wednesday, October 2, forming a Solar Eclipse. Mercury and Black Moon Lilith conjunct the eclipse, so diplomacy is needed with tense situations. Juno, the asteroid of partnerships, is also conjunct the Solar Eclipse. There is a strong desire to merge in harmony in relationships. On the contrary, a Moon-Mars square late in the evening may make tempers short and conversation jagged and testy. All in all, though, this is a powerful day for relationships.
Thursday, October 3, is peppered with optimism and pessimism due to a Moon-Jupiter trine to buoy the day, and less desirable aspects as the day unfolds. The Moon opposes Chiron and Eris, which could lead to conflict and divisiveness. Mercury makes a quincunx (150 degree) aspect to Saturn. Both idealism and practical reality are cosmic ingredients in the day.
The main aspect of Friday, October 4, is a Venus-Saturn trine in water signs Scorpio and Pisces respectively, giving a desire for passionate commitment in partnership. In contrast, a minor Sun-Uranus aspect desires freedom. The Moon moves into the deep, passionate waters of Scorpio, amplifying themes of desire. Friday is Venus’ Day. Spend a special evening with your beloved.
Saturday, October 5, is an active day, buoyed by the practical strength and drive of the Moon’s trines to Saturn and Mars. The Moon’s seductive conjunction with Venus adds passion and determination. Allow your strong feelings to drive you toward accomplishment.
You will definitely want to take some space of your own on Sunday morning, October 6, as the Scorpio Moon aspects Uranus. Later, the Moon aspects Neptune and then Pluto, making it an active, intense day. At 4:33 p.m. PDT the Moon bounces into Sagittarius, ushering in an enthusiastic evening.
Monday, October 7, is a light-hearted, high-spirited day, with no significant alignments, that is, until later in the day when the Moon squares Saturn, curbing enthusiasm. We are then reminded of our responsibilities and limitations.

Moon Void of Course:
This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
