In the Stars November 22-29, 2020...shining light on the astrology of the week

The Sun has moved into Sagittarius tropically, bringing a much more positive and social energy which is restrained this year by the widespread Covid-19 virus. Mars is moving forward, and so is our own movement. Eclipse season is upon us, with a Lunar Eclipse occurring November 30th at 8:38 degrees of Gemini-Sagittarius, and a Solar Eclipse at 23:08 Sagittarius on December 14th. the day of the Electoral College vote.

Sunday, the day of rest, is embraced by a Pisces Moon. We want to take it easy, and perhaps escape into a movie. A Moon-Uranus sextile may bring opportunity, or at least a nod toward something different. A Ceres-Venus trine brings good tidings and harmony.
The Pisces Moon makes numerous positive aspects on Monday. Mercury makes a benefic trine to Neptune. Vision and higher consciousness are accessible, and this energy is especially welcome in light of our political landscape. Take your own vision to a higher level.
Take on Tuesday with initiative and courage, and get some vigorous exercise. A benefic Sun-Moon trine enables the day to flow with ease.
A Moon-Mars conjunction Wednesday revs up our engines and gets us ready to roll. Use this ambitious energy to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner—or prepare for the holidays ahead. The Sun, Moon, and Mars are in fire signs, and as a result we feel energized, inspired, and hopeful.
Thanksgiving Day Thursday holds a lot of tension as the Moon squares Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn. It is likely that most of us will not be enjoying the usual bigger gatherings with family or friends. Channel that tense square energy into a morning hike, and then use this strong energy to do something independently that you’ve been wanting to do. If you are doing family Zoom calls, make them before 3:46 p.m. PST when the Moon goes void of course. When the Moon enters Taurus at 7:43 p.m. it brings a calming energy, and we are ready to enjoy something pleasant such as listening to music. The Sagittarius Sun is trine Chiron in Aries. Family conversations from afar, and with people you have not seen recently, will be nourishing and healing.
Breakthrough, change, and volatility may be themes on Friday in contrast to the usually stable energy of the Taurus Moon. The Moon conjuncts Uranus and these two planets oppose Venus. There may be changes in relationships or finances, or both. Deep conversations are supported by a Mercury-Pluto sextile. Friday may be full of surprises and astonishment.
Saturday morning is infused with inspiration. Take a walk in nature. The earthy Taurus Moon makes benefic trines to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn, giving good energy for a productive day. A Sun-Uranus aspect may generate instability as well as astonishment.
Sunday marks the beginning of Advent, and the holy season of the Christian year. The day is colored with a desire for conversation. This is a good day for catching up on email, and for reading a book and soaking in some new information.
November ends with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 8:38 Gemini. Writing, reading, and learning are highlighted, and curiosity is heightened. Eclipses intensify energy, so go easy on this day.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
